Who we are

Global Recycling Associates BV (Global Recycling) has been established in Rotterdam in 2002 by Jan Verbeek who has almost two decades experience in the waste paper and recycling business.

From the mid-nineties Mr. Verbeek directed his interest almost entirely towards the rapidly developing Asian markets. Ever since a huge network with contacts in many Asian countries has expanded, allowing sales outlets for many waste paper grades. The excellent relationships built with packers over a period of close to 20 years ensures an ever increasing flow of goods.

Strategy, commerce and general management are dealt with by management. All other activities are handled by our staff; we use an external accountant and have internal back office.

Commercial back-office staff:

Carla Behrtel & Jan Willem Mars

Together they are handling all back-office activities related to the export of our waste paper and will provide you with and/or assist you in:

•          Agreements and sales contracts

•          Planning, logistics and monitoring transports

•          Processing letters of credit and arranging proper documentation (including applications for permits and inspection certificates)

•          Collection and review of all necessary transport documents

They are liaising on a daily basis with all our buyers, suppliers, freight forwarders, bank etc.

In April 2008 we moved into our new office near Rotterdam.
